that is becasue it takes half of my energy pool!! I love the spell, but usually can't afford that much enegry gone in 2 seconds, especially since I can't take recovery to get some back.

3 more from me (sorry, but there are so many good skills)

Power drain, clumsiness, ineptitude

My favourite skills?

Blackout without a doubt (too bad their nerfed it).
Distortion- the best defensive stance in the game.
And finally, Echo.

Power Drain > The best non-elite e-management skill in the game, you must be capable of looking for a target though so itr doesnt help too much on a monk
Power Leak > Drain more energy than an entire build devoted to nothing else
Distortion > Simply the best anti-spike stance in the game

Before the AoE patch, Chaos Storm..

As of now, think I'll go with favorite 3 elites and then favorite 3 basic

Elites:
Energy Surge
Power Block
Ineptitude

Basic:
Energy Burn
Backfire
Conjure Phantasm (Most versatile Degen spell in the game, can be paired with any other degen or damage spell with no problems)

I imagine a poll would be better for this, but then the list of options would be realllly long, lol. Mine are distortion, arcane thievery, drain enchantment. Distortion because you get to laugh at rangers and warriors, arcane thievery because you just stole the W/E's gale, and drain enchantment.. I don't know, I just like the good feeling of energy that I gain from it XD

I love using diversion on a spammer. Empathy is like having another warrior and shatter enchantment is fun to use if you see something like Mark of Protection or Divine Intervention cast.

My 3 favorite mesmer skills as a mesmer (I only pvp with mesmers)

1. Mantra of Recovery (no...in all honesty this skill is quite nice)
2. Diversion
3. Shame/Energy Surge (sorry thats 4 =/)

2 good skills for secondary mesmers: echo, arcane echo FTW!
